This will be the final blog post on my Equilibria website as I bid a fond farewell to Equilibria Coaching and say a happy hello to ProACTive Coaching. The Equilibria Coaching website will remain up for another six to nine months (or whenever my yearly contract is up – 2020 sometime!)
Looking back on where I started with Equilibria Coaching, I can see how far I have come, particularly during the last year.
I didn’t really understand either the dedication required, nor the hard work involved in running your own business. But the most important lesson I have learnt is that I didn’t know enough about my target market, exactly who I was selling to, and I wasn’t clear enough about my offering. Fatal mistake in any business. However, working on a small scale suited me. It gave me time to pursue other interests and I was always learning as I went.
In the last year, I got serious and I mean really serious. I joined a business networking group. I did more training in my field. I became very clear about what I wanted to offer and to whom and I started a two-year business training programme. I have probably met more people through business in the last 12 months than I did in the previous five years. It’s quite a rollercoaster ride.
I have also discovered a new way of working. I now have multiple income streams. This has its advantages and its disadvantages. The advantages are more opportunities to make money, a varied and interesting working life and the constant challenge and thrill of personal and professional development. The disadvantages are juggling so many different projects, that some days I don’t know where to put myself I have so much to do!
ProACTIve Coaching is my main focus always. It is my main business and it always comes first. Everything else is just sauce! As well as ProACTive Coaching I have the following streams of income:
The Elephant Crossing – a children’s book. You can check it out on Amazon here: bit.ly/theelephantcrossing I wrote this book and my friend Justine Simpson Worboys illustrated it and did the wonderful artwork in the book.
Skillshare. I teach classes on Skillshare. This is a very new project and is certainly a steep learning curve. I absolutely hate doing video clips of myself and have a lot to learn about doing a more professional video, but I will get there. You can check out my courses here: https://skl.sh/2XvihbU
Aquasource health care products: I have quite the story when it comes to my health! If you are interested in finding out what it is, you can check out this link on my Equilibria page:
As a result, I promote these products because I truly believe in them. They have helped me to live a totally normal life despite having an autoimmune disease and they are wonderful products.
